Goshuin was originally a certificate of which you copied Sutras by hand and dedicated it to a temple, but now we can get it as a certificate of worship/visit at temples and shrines.
御朱印は、元々、写経してお寺に納めた証。今は参拝の証として神社仏閣で拝受できます。

Manners to get Goshuin

As mentioned above, Goshuin is a certificate of worship/visit, therefore, first of all, you need to make a worship. 上述のように、御朱印は参拝の証ですので、まずはお参りしましょう。
